18.04 MILE COMMUNITY BIKE RIDE
PURPOSE: Pedalé 1804 is an 18.04-mile, tri-city community bike ride in honor of Haitian Heritage Month. In addition to building community, the 18.04 mile bike ride aims to provide a space to raise awareness about South Florida’s Haitian community, Haiti, and the true significance of “L’UNION FAIT LA FORCE. As we do so, we believe that it is an opportune time to invest in our local community’s future leaders. Through this initiative, students across Miami-Dade County will have an opportunity to participate in a scholarship contest, where we will award each winner $1804 towards their academic endeavors.
The morning will be centered around a ride, but will also include an activation for members of the community who prefer to engage in a workout on the plaza. As the morning comes to an end, everyone will gather for a day of self-care and rejuvenation.
